Year 3 visited the Cambridge Botanic Garden to kick start our learning on ‘Tropical Treasures.’ Where better to experience humidity and see the rainforest plants for ourselves?
The foliage varied from fabulous water lilies and vanilla orchids to pitcher plants and venus flytraps.
We saw how rainforest plants compete for light and nutrients to survive in an extreme climate.
Back at school we have been enjoying using this new knowledge as a springboard for our Thematic Learning activities in humanities, creative, science and English.
