On Wednesday 15 November, Senior School student Millie qualified as a National Finalist in the British Shooting Schools Pistol Championships 2017/18.

Representing the Stephen Perse Foundation, Millie was the youngest competitor in her Intermediate-level age group. In the qualifying rounds, she placed 3rd, then went on to Area Finals.

At the Finals, Millie's first shot was a perfect 10, but her second shot didn't fire as she ran out of air! Despite this setback, she came in 4th overall and secured her place at the National Finals in January.

What a fantastic achievement - well done Millie!

The Finals will take place  on Wednesday 17 January at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Buckinghamshire so watch this space. You can also find out more about how British Shooting work with schools and young people on their website.
