The Kindergarten go out and explore different landscape environments
Kindergarten have been out and about this term comparing and contrasting two very different urban and forest environments, Cambridge University Botanic Garden and Madingley Park.
The City children enjoyed playing ‘host’ to Madingley Kindergarten at one of their visits to The Botanic Garden, helping them look for signs of Spring amongst the animal and the plant world. Likewise, Madingley Kindergarten reciprocated by giving their City counterparts a taste of ‘real’ Forest School by sharing their favourite activities at Madingley Park.
Back at school, the children examined their findings and photographs and had a go at growing their own plants and keeping their own butterflies and tadpoles to be observed and released back into the wild - back to The Botanic Garden or Madingley Park, of course!
