Year 5 pupils from both Cambridge Junior School and Dame Bradbury's got a taste of Senior School life at the recent transition day.
The day was packed with engaging activities across various subjects, giving the children a glimpse of life in the Senior School.
Pupils donned their thinking caps for a spot of Latin, explored the wonders of science, put their creative skills to the test in DT and art classes, and took part in a fun-filled sports session. The lessons were closely rivalled by the delicious food that was put on for the children. They enjoyed juice and cookies during break, and an appetising lunch that left everyone feeling full.
The day wasn't just about academics and activities. Pupils also went home with a commemorative book as a reminder of their exciting visit. Some groups even got to take home other practical keepsakes – rulers crafted in DT class, colourful buttons, and vibrant animal collages created in the art room.
By all accounts, the transition day was a resounding success. The positive and engaging experience has left a lasting impression on the Year 5 pupils.
