On Friday (3rd February), students from Years 12 and 13 performed in Patrick Barlow's wonderful comedy adaptation of this nail-biting thriller.
An eleven strong cast multi-roled to perform over 100 different characters between them, with all of them also taking on the central character, Richard Hannay, in at least one scene of the play.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the performers to showcase their skill at creating character; they also had enormous fun bringing out the humour and embracing the spoof style of the piece.
Four Year 13 students crewed the show, shifting scenery and operating sound, lights and a smoke machine to help create the many locations features in the play.
This was our Year 13 students' final school performance - we wish them all well in their future dramatic endeavours.

What an absolute joy to see the 6th Form Play, The 39 Steps. The effort involved in producing and directing the production as well as the acting itself and backstage work represented the Foundation at its very best. A genuine landmark in the students' educational careers."
