Kindergarten and Reception in the City had an experience at the Senior School last week and used the large hall to test out their aeroplanes.
The children predicted where they believe their plane would land and them tested them out. Many were sad not to reach the far-flung predictions but all children showed resilience and persistence to improve throwing techniques to get them to fly further and further.
They used their counting skills to countdown the launch and then looked carefully to see if they had gone further. The children decided that they were too light so would not fly as far and tested this by putting two planes together. This seemed to have the desired effect and they were thrilled to see the planes soar across the hall.
A great experience for the children and a chance to see some older pupils at work.
