The U11 hockey team have won silver medal at the county hockey finals held at Felsted school last week. Having been placed in a tough group and with two early defeats in our opening matches, our chances of qualifying for the semi finals looked bleak. With some great hockey played in our last two group matches and with luck on our side, we finished second in the group setting up a semi final against St Thomas More. An excellent team performance saw us win the match 3-1 ensuring qualification for the final. With St John Fisher our opponents, we were looking to reverse our group game result against them, where we had lost 2-0. After an excellent opening goal by Ben in the first few minutes of the game, we took the lead to set up an exciting finale. St John Fisher played extremely well and took control of the game and eventually won the match by 3-1. It was a great morning of hockey and the team should be extremely proud of what they have achieved.
