On Wednesday 9th May, Dame Bradbury's U11 Girls cricket team made the long journey to Chelmsford to play against Widford Lodge.
It was the teams first game of the season and they put in a very positive performance with Lucy G captaining the team for the first time. Unfortunately she lost the toss and Dame B's were asked to bat first. The girls batted well and scored 309 runs. In reply Widford Lodge started well but a cluster of wickets fell mid innings and they fell 32 runs short of Dame B's total scoring 277. The girls should be pleased with their first match and can look forward to next weeks home fixture against the Perse. Player of the game was Camille for her tidy bowling and explosive batting.
