Before setting out for Norfolk on 20 September, the Year 6 pupils had an impromptu discussion about erosion, transportation, longshore drift and deposition. This was an ideal opportunity for them to reflect on the research they undertook, as a homework assignment, at the beginning of their thematic unit of study on coastlines.
While some lessons are reasonably predictable, we like to include surprises as part of our approach to learning in Junior School. This term began with an invasion of the 'Roman kind' for our Year 4 pupils, to discover more about the Roman invasion of Britain.
Our Year 11 and 6th Form Religious Studies and Philosophy students shared a unique opportunity to explore new ways of thinking about the future of society at an Education for Human Solidarity event, run by the Inspire Dialogue Foundation.
