  • Football Festival

    All Dame Bradbury's boys in Years 3 & 4 took to the football pitch on Tuesday afternoon to play against teams from St Thomas More school. With two groups taking part in a round robin tournament the boys showed great enthusiasm when playing their matches. With each team playing a number of matches against teams from St Thomas More and Dame Bradbury's, games were played in great spirit and some good football was on display.

  • U10 Netball & Football v CIS

    On Wednesday Dame Bradbury's played host to Cambridge International School in both netball and football. All Year 5 pupils and some Year 4 boys took to the netball courts and football pitches to play against the visitors. The girls played some good netball and with some excellent attacking and defensive play on show, our 3 teams came away with two victories and one drawn match. Well played girls.

  • Indoor Athletics

    On Wednesday, all pupils from Year 5 & 6 took part in the Saffron Walden Schools Indoor Athletics competition. With a variety of track and field events taking place each pupil competed in at least one track and field event each.

    The noise levels were high and competition was fierce. With Radwinter, Katherine Semar and St Thomas More all in attendance our pupils performed excellently with some superb and individual performances.

  • Netball v Felsted

    On Wednesday 25th January 2017 Dame Bradbury's U10 & U11 netball teams travelled to Felsted. On a bitterly cold afternoon all the girls showed great perseverance despite their very cold hands. The U11A team followed up their victory over the Perse Prep with a superb 13-11 win against tough opponents. The U11 B fought hard but lost 11-1. The U10 A team lost 12-7 but scored some excellent goals whilst the U10 B team defended very well but could not get the better of their opponents losing 7-2.  Well played girls!

  • Saffron Walden Swimming Gala

    The first gala of the year allowed pupils from years 3-6 to compete against swimmers from four other local schools, namely Elsenham, Great Chesterford, Clavering and St Thomas More. Individual races in frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke alongside both the medley and freestyle relay were the order of the day. With some fantastic individual and team performances in the relays, Dame B's swimmers did superbly considering the lack of pool time for some. A special mention to Keira, Alexi, Robyn, George and Daisy as well as the Year 3 girls relay team who all won their races.

  • U11 Football v St Mary's

    The U11 team played their first 9-a-side game of the season against St Mary's school and performed well. In a closely contested game, Dame B's played some good football and created a number of opportunities throughout the match. St Mary's put up a spirited fight and also had a number of opportunities but were unable to find the target thanks to some good goalkeeping by Alex. We finally opened the scoring through Louis then a further two goals were added as the match progressed. Final score, 3-0 to Dame B's. Well played boys.

  • U11 Netball v Perse Prep

    On Wednesday 18th January 2017 Dame Bradbury's hosted the Perse Prep for three netball fixtures. All three games were closely fought with some excellent netball being played. Dame B's A team put in their best performance to date winning 10-6. The B team lost 12-3 and the C team recorded a superb 3-0 win. In what is a busy netball term for the girls, the teams have got off to a great start. Long may this continue.
